Our mission.

As the world’s number 1 job site, our mission is to help people get jobs. We need talented, passionate people working together to make this happen. We are looking to grow our teams with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for job seekers.

The team.

The International Team works to make all of Indeed’s products effective at getting people hired, in every market and language. This involves understanding the needs of specific markets through research and experimentation and finding design patterns that let us scale those variations worldwide. Most importantly, the team is expected to deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.

As a UX Designer at Indeed, you will join an interdisciplinary community of interaction, visual and brand designers, writers, researchers, and design
technologists who are based in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hyderabad. We collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to deliver simple solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face when hiring and getting hired. We’re big-picture thinkers who know how to work in the trenches and ship. This is the most exciting time to be a part of UX at Indeed.

This role is remote, and you’ll be working directly with teammates in the US, and sometimes collaborating with others in Asia. Even though this role
is remote, this role will include occasional face to face collaboration with colleagues in offices (when offices open up again).

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Remote Americas Base Salary Range: 92,000 - 118,000 USD per year

Your job.

Every day throughout the world someone is looking for opportunity. Looking for a job is stressful, deeply personal, and complex. With so many options, job seekers need help finding the best opportunities for them. We’re looking for a designer to join us in our journey in creating a personal and empowering search experience that matches job seekers with relevant opportunities and helps them discover new possibilities.

As a UX Designer with the International Team, you’ll be the UX subject matter expert working with other engineers and product managers on the International Team to achieve the team’s goals. You’ll do so by partnering with the core Job Search team to elevate the search experience for international markets.

You'll create high-fidelity designs that define the user experience and user interface for new and existing features across Indeed’s core search experience. You'll quickly and thoughtfully incorporate team feedback into designs. You’ll also validate your designs through qualitative user research (working with a UX researcher) and A/B testing (working with a product manager). You’ll understand how to apply our existing design language, but also proactively seek opportunities to extend and improve our system to elevate the design of our product.

About you.

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in product user experience.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates strength in visual design and experience designing modern, usable interactions and UIs, highlighting your process and design solutions.

  • Experience with mobile-first experiences and design systems, with a demonstrated ability to think through end-to-end solutions with a strong user-centered approach.

  • A systems thinker who can develop scalable solutions and experiences that can be configurable across markets.

  • Experience and interest in localizing products for multiple international markets. Experience living in different countries or having learned different languages is a plus.

  • Skilled in interaction and visual design with the ability to continually improve quality across our products and user experiences.

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in both generative and evaluative UX research.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with relentless attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with partner disciplines (Research, Product, Engineering, Customer Support).

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously while delivering impactful outcomes and results.

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline.
