The team.We are a rapidly-growing, fast-moving, highly-capable UX team building the most popular job site on the planet. Our designers work in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Hyderabad, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering to deliver simple solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face hiring and getting hired. Most importantly, our team is expected to deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.
We are looking for a user experience leader for our newly established Jobseeker Content organization.
The Jobseeker Content vision: Through compelling content & tools, help people at every stage of their journey to find, keep, and succeed in work.
Indeed is the first place that jobseekers turn to when they want to search for and apply to jobs. When we think about the not-to-distant future, we imagine Jobseeker Content does everything else. Every question users have, every tool that they need, when they go to google or social media to find the answer, they’ll find great products and tools powered by Indeed to help them.
From deciding where to go to school, picking a career, finding mentors, making the best resume, evaluating a company, how to prepare for job interviews, what you’re worth and how to negotiate salary, making sure your job will provide enough to survive, information on career changes and relocation, mentorship, how to succeed in your career, when to start looking again - and many more.

Lead Indeed Jobseeker Content UX
- Establish a new UX team in Vancouver. Establish UX processes that support product excellence while moving & shipping fast.
- Mentor and help designers & researchers within your team and the broader Indeed design community to create world-class product experiences.
- Effectively grow Jobseeker Content UX to keep pace with business needs.
- Communicate the business value of UX to stakeholders.
Ship improvements that enhance the jobseeker experience.
Through research, keep the voice of the jobseeker at the forefront with a regular cadence of qualitative studies.
Collaborate closely with a variety of disciplines: Engineering, product management, UX research, content strategy, and design technology.
Collaborate broadly with neighboring Indeed product team members.
Invent future JobSeeker Content products & tools
Leveraging the Indeed Jobseeker Content UX team, design and validate solutions to real jobseeker problems.
Collaborate closely with the cross-functional Jobseeker Content leadership team to help inform future roadmaps and turn vision into reality.
Our ideal candidate has:
7+ years of product design experience with an accompanying portfolio.
5+ years of shipping product experiences.
4+ years managing local and remote UX teams.
Experience working with content-driven web sites and significant experience working with content strategists and copywriters.
Experience working with both generative and evaluative UX research.
Experience working in a startup environment with a focus on speed to ship.
Relentless attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate flawlessly with multiple teams (Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing).
Ability to travel quarterly to Tokyo & Singapore and twice a year to Austin, TX.
Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline.
