Your job

Corporate Systems Group is a new group within Indeed's Internal Platforms organization that will deliver a modern integrated ERP platform and ecosystem. This platform is enabling increased productivity, streamlined workflows, and integrated business processes across the Finance, Financial Planning, HR, and Talent Attraction organizations, as well as broadly across Indeed.

We partner closely with our internal customers to ensure that Indeed has appropriate technology and business processes for today's needs, while laying a foundation for continued transformation and business agility. We do this in a way that is scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant. We use Workday HCM, Workday Financials, and Workday Adaptive as the core of our platform.

You will be responsible for driving technical planning and decisions for Indeed's Workday platform (HCM, Financials, Adaptive) and related applications. You will partner with product management to develop product, technical, and architecture plans and roadmaps. You will partner with development and delivery teams to ensure projects have appropriate designs and are following best practices and platform standards. You will partner with business leaders in HR and Finance to understand their strategic needs and deliver the platform capabilities they need to support Indeed's continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with internal customers and partners to understand their needs, priorities, roadmap, and definition of success.

  • Drive the technical evaluation of technologies and vendor solutions including industry trends and best practices.

  • Develop and communicate system and solution documentation intended for both business and technical audiences.

  • Design data models to support current and long-term business needs.

  • Design and develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, reference architectures, and implementations as needed to support the technical planning of platform and business projects.

  • Drive integration strategy for corporate systems and applications.

  • Provide technical oversight of platform improvements and business projects.

  • Partner with other technical architects, platform leadership, business partners, as well as functional leads in areas such as Security, Privacy, IT Compliance, Business Intelligence, and Data Governance to ensure that Indeed's platform capabilities are meeting the needs and standards of diverse stakeholders.

  • Establish architectural best practices within the Corporate Systems Group.

Who You Are

You are an experienced IT leader and are driven to deliver impactful work for your customers and partners. You believe in the value of process and structure, and use them to reliably deliver high quality results, but understand there needs to be room for pragmatism. You are able to drive decisions by analyzing tradeoffs and partnering with business and process owners to make the right decision for their constraints and priorities. You are able to reason about the tradeoffs of a potential solution at multiple levels of detail and multiple time scales. You can work through the technical details of a project with a development team, and communicate associated impacts and tradeoffs to business users and leaders.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in the development and implementation of software or information technology systems.
  • 5 years experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience with development, implementation, and integration of Workday HCM or Workday Financials.
  • Ability to translate strategic business objectives and needs to platform and project requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with Mulesoft or other enterprise integration frameworks.
  • Practical experience applying TOGAF or other architectural frameworks.
  • Experience with application and integration development using AWS.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices.
